‘Black Panther’ Actor Chadwick Boseman, Dies at 43

According to TheGrio, Actor Chadwick Boseman, who brought the movie “Black Panther” to life with his charismatic intensity and regal performance, has died.

The Howard University alum Boseman has battled colon cancer since 2016 and died at home with his family and wife by his side, according to a statement posted on his Twitter account. He was 43.

Before he was cast as the Marvel Studios superhero, Boseman’s career began with his portrayals of Black American icons Jackie Robinson (in 2013’s “42”) and James Brown (in 2014’s “Get on Up”).

“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you so many of the films you have come to love so much,” the statement said.

“From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.”

When the movie Black Panther opened my brother and I were BIG FANS of even before it opened. What made my brother and I RESPECT him more was due to an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he and Jimmy set up fans who saw the movie to a surprise meeting. Through each meeting we just as fans got a glimpse of who he was by his respect and humble nature towards each and every fan. That we will NEVER forget along with the work he has left the world with.

He will be missed and we send our prayers and condolences to his wife, family, friends and fans as well!!
