Black Fact= 1921 (Jan.2 ) – Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander, the first black person to receive a Ph.D. in Economics (1921) , was born on this date in 1898. In 1921, Mossell Alexander was the first African-American to receive a Ph. D.in economics in the United States.
