1- Black Fact  = 1990 (May 16) – Sammy Davis Jr., actor, dancer, singer and world class entertainer dies in Beverly Hills, California at age 64. Born in Harlem, was a member of the popular and notorious Hollywood Rat Pack. He held starring roles in a host of Broadway musicals and motion pictures. 4- Black Fact = 1966(May 16) – The Student Nonviolent Coordination Committee named Stokley Carmichael (Kwame Toure’) as its Chairman on this date in 1966.

5- Black Fact = 1979 (May)- Asa Philip Randolph, labor leader, activist, and organizer of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, died in New York on this date in 1979.
