Legendary singer Tina Turner (born Anna Mae Bullock) (November 26, 1939 – March 24, 2023), known for her sultry voice and a string of platinum hits, has died at age 83 according to TheGRIO .
The singer rose to prominence preforming with her husband Ike Turner in the 1960s before embarking on a chart-topping solo career.
She is best know for songs such as Private Dancer, The Best, What’s Love Got to Do With It and Proud Mary.She’s sold more than 180 million albums, win 12 Grammy Awards and perform sold-out stadium tours over three decades.
According to her Tina Turner’s Facebook page… “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner,” the statement said on Facebook. “With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.”
