Black Fact= 1885 ( July 15) – Sarah E. Goode, inventor, patented the Folding Cabinet Bed on this date in 1885. Patent # 322,177. Her bed was a precursor of today’s hideaway bed. Goode is widely believed to be the first black female inventor to hold a patent in the United States. #theraydiotwins
