Grammy-Winning R&B Singer James Ingram Dies at 66

James Ingram, the soulful, smooth voice behind R&B

hits like “Just Once” and “I Don’t Have The Heart,” and “One Hundred Ways,” has died at the age of 66. Ingram began his career more than four decades ago, collaborating over the years with Quincy Jones, Anita Baker, Michael McDonald and Ray Charles. He also co-wrote Michael Jackson’s hit “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)” alongside Jones.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He will live on in our hearts and ears as his music plays on.
